Marty Stouffer's
Wild America was the first and only Wildlife and
Nature Series to focus exclusively on the wild animals and wild lands of
North America. Hosted by award-winning wildlife photographer and premier
naturalist,
Marty Stouffer, Wild America was
one of the highest rated and longest running PBS Series of all time.
From the Alaskan Tundra to the Florida
Everglades, the Wild America crew documented American wildlife as had
never been done before. Cloud 9's owner, Bryan Hilts, joined the Wild America team in the eighties and worked on over 100 episodes. Bryan's job description called for doing whatever it took to get the films to PBS on time, including scheduling all aspects of the series, working closely with cinematographers in the field and filming Marty and his family raising Bear Cubs, Kestrals or Baby Cottontails Rabbits. Bryan had the honor of producing the last episode this long-running series, "The Best of Wild America", a look back at over a decade of presenting North America's wildlife as never before seen. |
